This practical course develops the core hand-tool and machine-tool skills required in any engineering workshop. It covers measurement, marking out, hand tools, drilling, turning, milling, grinding, sheet metal, welding and brazing, with a strong emphasis on workshop health and safety and safe working practice.
Organised into 8 weeks. Each week has four practical/theory days and a Day 5 quiz. Two end-of-month tests consolidate competence.
